Hyundai Finally Out of The Japanese Market

Tokyo - South Korean automakers Hyundai finally out of the Japanese car market. Sales figures continue to deteriorate forcing Hyundai out of the Japanese commercial car market.

As quoted by The Korea Times Wednesday (3/12/2009), Hyundai will not sell new cars in Japan anymore. But Hyundai will still provide service to users Hyundai cars in Japan.

Bitter decision by Hyundai announced last week. 2009 Hyundai for this year failed to sell 800 units of cars in Japan.

"We have decided that we better pause while our investment in Japan and better focus on more promising markets like the U.S. and China," the Hyundai official statement.

Hyundai is already present in Japan in 2001, Hyundai pace in Japan in contrast to Toyota in Korea. Toyota in Korea even have put the nails and the brand's most popular imported cars thanks to the premium cars like Lexus.

Toyota launches 4 new models in Korea late last month, like the Camry and the Prius. Toyota is not only foreign car maker that became popular for Korean citizens. Other Japanese car makers like Honda and Nissan come to taste the sweetness of the Korean market.

But despite bleeding in Japan, Hyundai has transformed into one giant car in the global market.

Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group is now the largest Asian car manufacturer after Toyota. And in the global market, Hyundai-Kia has displaced Ford as the fourth in the world's largest car manufacturer.
